Profile

Although it looks like a set from the Brady Bunch episodes shot in Hawaii, this bar attracts more punk rockers (and wannabes) than hula girls or gawking tourists. Why the pierced-and-tattooed set flocks here is anyone's guess, though surely it's not for the chintzy tiki mugs that holds the special island-style drinks like the Zombie, Mai Tai, and Volcano Blast. (Or maybe, in a kitschy tip of the hat to Niagara Bar-esque, post-tiki style, the mugs are the reason.) The $3 to $5 beers are as cheap as they come, and the dried grass hanging from the ceiling, vintage Hawaiian record albums, postcards, and paintings on the walls provide amusing distraction. There's even a photo booth and a little stage in the back on which local bands and resurrected back up bands (like the Blackhearts, sans Joan Jett) do their thing nightly (no cover).

Divey Fun Tiki Bar with a small back room which has punk, garage and rockabilly bands for free almost every night, which is rare these days. Each night is different with rotating Surf Rock, Rockabilly, 60's Soul, Goth and Indie events and even a cover song night. Decent drink prices and they have a wide range of tiki drinks, with required plastic monkeys, umbrellas and glow sticks.

Horrible Bar

My friends and I stopped in for our first beer at this joint as a kickoff to the night. First of all, the bartender was SO WASTED that she could barely talk. After slurring back our order to us, she pours the wrong drinks. After we clarify what we want....again.... she ID's us and we sit down. After I'm done I go to get another beer and she ID's me again.....then tells me im underage!!! and throws the ID in my face!! (Sidenote: im 23!). After telling her im OF AGE she starts screaming profanities at me and tells me to get the F*** out of her bar. There was no manager and no other bartenders. What I shouldve done was call the police!!!! This place is ATROCIOUS and the most unprofessional dump Ive ever been too.
