Profile
Berkeley grads John Rauschenberg and Jonathan Stan are serving homesick West Coast transplants sixteen craft beers, most from western breweries, and Frisco-produced It’s-It treats (a scoop of ice cream sandwiched between oatmeal cookies then dipped in dark chocolate). In the skylighted, wood-paneled back room painted a cheery blue, patrons can claim a couch, dip into a Steinbeck novel or play a spirited round of Boggle. (Some nights, they can watch unsung movies like Teen Wolf, too.) Higher-brow high jinks like regular-book readings and a literary pub quiz round out the diversions.
