The Parlour Midtown is a spacious, upscale Irish pub with better-than-average fare. With more than a dozen choices, the draft list offers up a standard selection, albeit with slightly higher prices than average. Menu highlights include Parlour toast (shrimp scampi on brioche), Bacon and Eggs (deviled eggs topped with bacon), and traditional chicken pot pie. With a long bar section in the front and table seating in the back, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the ambience minimal and modern, with strangely wonderful caricature paintings of well-known Irish natives from Oscar Wilde to Bono. Parlour Midtown is a good option as any if you’re craving a pint of Guinness and a good steak. Otherwise, there isn’t much that separates it from the hundreds of other pubs in midtown.
