Profile

This subterranean lair, located underneath the popular rustic Italian restaurant Peasant, is more neighborhood watering hole than hushed foodie destination. It has everything a good Italian wine bar should (a wine cellar, stone pillars, exposed beams, roughhewn communal tables, flickering candles, crusty panini and hearty meat and cheese boards). And with the bartender seemingly pouring whatever's on hand, the room's relaxed, impromptu vibe kinda feels as if you're raiding your parents' liquor cabinet while the stereo—finally!—plays full blast.
