A noisy rec-room named for Patrick Swayze’s third-best film, Point Break is a three-story after-work home base for the freshly graduated. The cramped, narrow pour-house’s walls are filled with towering liquor shelves, blackboard ads for their 96 oz. beer boots, and rock-n’-roll mugshots (Axl Rose, Kid Rock, Marilyn Manson). The titular film is paid homage with a half-baked surfing theme–think boogie boards stamped with the bar’s logo–as well as the movie’s totally awesome quote stamped on the staircase: “You want the ultimate thrill, you gotta be willing to pay the ultimate price.” Around here, though, that means ponying up $5 for the “Wheel of Shots,” an alcoholic Russian roulette for those who’ve left their self-restraint behind for the night.
