Located in a 2,500-square-foot townhouse near Old Fulton St., Pub One is a relaxed sports bar serving globally-inspired burgers. There’s antique lighting and wood-paneled walls, plus a 70-seat garden that provides front row seats to the Brooklyn Bridge and ample space to enjoy the equally ample craft beer menu. (In the cooler months, the local, bar-food-eating crowd can catch a sports game on one of the 10 hi-def TVs.) Drinks are unembellished and reliable, including standard drafts like Sixpoint Sweet Action. The bar food, however, aims a bit higher with items like the goat cheese stuffed lamb burger with mint ketchup. — Emily Watkins
