Quench was the first bar to capitalize on Smith Street's exploding restaurant scene. But while desperately needed, it never quite won over the locals, perhaps because this mainly-Brooklyners hangout is cut from the same bolt of velvet cloth that spawned the Manhattan lounge craze. However, the wine and scotch selections are extensive, creatively chosen and fairly priced, as are those 212-style cocktails with 718-style names (like the G Train). The bar itself—shiny, mirror-backed and lit from beneath—glows almost as radiantly as the knockout bartender with the perfect Farrah 'do.
Trademark DrinkThe Quench Wench, made with Stoli Blueberi, pomegranate and other secret ingredients.
