With exposed brick, sconce lamps, and peeling tables, this small Nolita spot boasts a warm, cellar-ish vibe. The lunch scene is mellow, but during the evening, the room takes on a loungy feel; its Pan-Asian-Spanish tapas and entrées range from traditional miso to teriyaki burgers and salsa-seafood combos. There’s a reasonably priced wine list, and in the back space, a silent bronze Buddha surveys the scene.

Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
