Rustik Tavern is more than just a convenient spot for the overflow from Sputnik and Sweet Revenge – it’s also a great neighborhood bar in its own right. Set on an otherwise deserted stretch of DeKalb, on any given night the bar can be found full of neighborhood folks (few Pratt kids here) enjoying the six beers on tap (including Brooklyn Blast Reserve and Six Point Sweet Action) and the solid bar-food offerings (a small but varied selection, including chili-cheese fries and pan-seared tilapia). On weekends, a D.J. plays Top 40 music, but it’s not too loud to carry on a conversation; during the week, music offerings also include local jazz, latin, and soul bands. The giant TVs make it a great destination on game nights, but they can be a bit too much distraction for an ordinary drink. The gorgeous patio is Rustik’s best feature, so don’t miss it during warmer months. — Leila Cohan
