Profile

The square bar and staff’s logo-embroidered shirts might make you think you’ve entered some sort of local version of Houlihan’s. But the quality pour and, better yet, price of a Guinness pint, $5.50, ensures that the place has its priorities straight. (For some reason, though, everyone seems to drink Amstel Light.) The bar is flanked by a dining area (topped by a disco ball) and a quiet room with a fireplace where you can try to escape such inexplicable entertainment as hits by Kenny Rogers on the sound system. Every other Wednesday, the bar holds a “pub quiz,” where teams of four ante up and find out who’s read the most Trivial Pursuit cards.  On Thursday nights ladies get two for one.
