The lowdown

Sea Witch easily wins the Greenwood Heights’ high-design prize, but it’s also got the area’s best draught selection and a sturdy sandwich menu. The décor follows a nautical theme that starts with a ship’s-stern facade and ends with a wall mural tribute to tipsy deep-sea sirens, and there’s also refashioned anchor-chain bar stools, a front-wall nook that doubles as a pine-wood cabin, and a bar-back saltwater fish tank. A generous backyard space off the starboard bow will draw crowds, weather permitting; what evening wouldn’t be better with a crispy burger and an upstate ale under the night sky?
