Redbrick walls, shelves of gleaming wine bottles, and a dark wooden bar give the small Sofia Wine Bar a simple, relaxed feel. The café is lit by chandeliers, large quartz candle holders, and tin lanterns. Suspender-clad waiters drift between the tables to help customers choose from over 90 wines served by the glass. The menu offers simple fare including thin-crust pizzas topped with prosciutto, meatballs, mozzarella, or eggplant, pesto-filled paninis, homemade focaccia, spinach dip, and meat or cheese platters. A tiny back room holding eight small tables extends off the main area, with only the attentive waiters to distract you from your drink.
