A haven for corporate parties, the expansive, bi-level Stitch sees big groups of 30-something Midtown professionals in khakis pour in to unbutton their starched collars and sip cocktails around its dark-wood, high-top tables. Smaller groups crowd in at the long, black bar and let elegant rust-orange lamps soothe fluorescent-weary eyes. A small-bites menu, available all day, provides a change from typical corporate soggy-club-sandwich fare: Crab cakes, spring rolls, flautas, and a handful of salads and sandwiches anchor an eclectic list. A balcony visible from the first floor hints at the more intimate space upstairs, where the second bar often hosts private events. Stitch’s walls are painted orange-red, as is a luxuriously high ceiling.
