It's only natural that the Time Warner Center, having already attracted some of the city's hottest restaurateurs, should also house this addition to Rande Gerber's nightlife empire. The behemoth 5,500-sq. ft. lounge is capable of seating 300, and its massive windows facing Central Park make the city itself feel like a hired character. Leather and light wood paneling, plush banquettes, and muted lighting lend the enormous, marble-floored space surprising intimacy; despite the expectation of male models rubbing shoulders with vamping shopaholics, there is a kind of calmness that pervades. In addition to specially concocted martinis and cosmos such as the Stone Rose (bourbon, Grand Marnier, cranberry juice, sour mix and sugar), cocktail connoisseurs can switch over to high-end ports and cognacs. — David S. Good drinks, nice, but service is very slow

Ill start off by saying the Stoned Rose is one of my favorite places. Ive been there about 5 or 6 times and the service is mixed at best. Half of those times, there is never anyone at the front to greet you. Its as if the greeter is cleaning tables between greeting. Also, once you're in side, you need to order your 2nd drink at the point you are half way through your first drink becuase it takes a while to flag one of the waitresses and some time before they return. Again, I experienced this more than half the times Ive been here. Overall, a nice place to go to once or twice but the service would be a problem to come here as a regular.
Great Space, But No Where to Sit

Stone Rose is billed as an upscale bar/lounge in the Time Warner Center, worthy neighbor to the restaurants Porter House, MASSA and Per Se. The decor is modern art deco and very spacious. The music on Saturday night is a fun blend of older top 40 music. The drinks are a bit outrageously priced and I couldn't take in the view at night. But the main problem is that it is not a relaxing place to have a drink. All the seating appear to be reserved and yet empty at 11p on a Saturday night. Stone Rose gives the cold shoulder.
