At this freestanding ranch-style structure by the shore, barrel-chested locals with shaved heads—many of them firemen, as a 9/11 photo memorial testifies—pound domestic beers and frozen drinks or gather round footprint- and shamrock-shaped tables for burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, or heroes.
