Owned by retired NYC firefighters, Suspenders is a cavernous haunt for the Wall Street crowd. A lengthy back-room dining area comes equipped with white tablecloths and studded-leather booth backs; the front bar space, while dimly lit and loudly soundtracked, features dark mahogany and brass. There are fifteen beers on tap and a jovial bunch of bartenders, but the real happy hour is pretty much anytime after 4pm, when $4 beers beckon weary suits.
Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
