307 Third Ave.,
New York, NY 10010

Surrounded by low-key pubs, Tap Room No. 307 stands out as a solid craft beer bar/restaurant in Gramercy. The long, dark wood bar boasts 42 beers on tap, all small-batch brews, among them Allagash White and Sixpoint Sweet Action. The taps are constantly rotating, so disregard the menu and trust the large chalkboard above the bar that charts current available brews with brand, ABV, and price (ranging from $7-$10). Elevated banquettes, communal tables and flat screen TVs give it a sleek sports bar feel, but craft beer labels decorate the walls, shooing away groups looking for Buds. They also offer 20 bottled beers and wine and a full bar. The food is standard American fare, featuring big salads ($9), sliders ($11-12) and pizzas ($10-13) for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, with a pretty sweet happy hour deal of 50 cent wings.

Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
