The Ainsworth is an upmarket sports bar boasting 40 flat-screens, 6,000 square feet, a mid-thirties (mostly men in suits) crowd, and American-fusion bar food. The menu’s from locavore chef Dave Feimster (Spago), and it touts bites like miso duck spring rolls, pizza, and (at brunch only) maple fondue with bite-size waffle pancakes. Owner Matt Shendell, the man behind the Hamptons' Dune, has outfitted the place with glam, rustic décor: aged pine coats the walls and antique black chandeliers hang from the ceiling. Oak tables with chocolate leather seats and banquettes can seat up to 295 (most of which are conveniently mobile for corporate events), while amber LED lights offset the glare from the screens.
