This unmarked Little Italy den has taken the lead on the custom-crafted cocktail trend. In addition to a modest drinks menu there’s just a chalkboard listing the fresh fruits of the day. You tell your mixologist that you want something sweet with rum, and you might get a white-peach-cinnamon concoction. Prefer citrus? Try a pomelo sour. Dark and spicy? Here’s a cucumber-chipotle whiskey daiquiri. The combinations will vary from day to day and bartender to bartender, but the cocktails, all $15, are always beautifully executed. For dinner or an accompanying snack, Chef Carmine DiGiovanni provides small plates like sliders, a black kale salad, and a tuna poke tostada.
