The neighborhood that produced Big Daddy Kane and Jay-Z now has a wine bar. The sprawling back deck is Therapy’s best feature: In the summer, tree branches filter the sunlight, and a speaker pumps out rock, soul, and R&B hits. You can peer at neighbors tending their plants in the yards next door. The wines range in quality. The bar’s signature Concrete Rose wine cocktail, basically a syrah Slurpee, is a low point, but the happy hour rocks, with half-price pours and cheap bottles of beer. Another nice touch: charcuterie and cheese from Stinky Brooklyn.Wine Tastings
Tastings occur on occasional Wednesdays; check Therapy’s Twitter feed for dates.
Picnics with a view, roller-skating nostalgia, and a party for gay headbangers.
