Profile

What could be more appropriate than a gay bar called Therapy? Granted, many of its patrons might be better off undergoing actual psychotherapy, but if you insist on drowning your sorrows away, this voluminous bi-level lounge is a great place to do it, in style. Organized around an open central staircase-cum-runway beneath a vaulted skylight, the ground floor consists of a cozy sitting area in front and a long standing-height communal table in back. Upstairs, there's another sitting area, arranged cabaret-style, with tiny bistro tables and low-lying sofas facing a modest stage. In addition to cleverly named house cocktails such as the Freudian Sip and Pavlov's Dog, there's also bar food, like potato skins and mushroom dumplings. At least that's one appetite you can count on satisfying here—when it comes to the hordes of hot boys, you're on your own.

Great starter but not an all-nighter

Therapy would be an excellent start to a night of malicious but delightful fun. The bar serves its purpose best if thought of as a "starter point" to the night. Drinks are decently priced and the service is okay. Bathrooms are clean and the stalls have PLENTY of room if you catch my drift... More importantly is the lounge in front of the bar. This is the best feature due to the space. You and a couple of friends and hags could fill the front and have a private party in no time. Best bet: drag some friends along with you for an excellent time.
