| Ongoing Every Sun | The Electro Shock Therapy Comedy Hour: Brad Loekle |
What could be more appropriate than a gay bar called Therapy? Granted, many of its patrons might be better off undergoing actual psychotherapy, but if you insist on drowning your sorrows away, this voluminous bi-level lounge is a great place to do it, in style. Organized around an open central staircase-cum-runway beneath a vaulted skylight, the ground floor consists of a cozy sitting area in front and a long standing-height communal table in back. Upstairs, there's another sitting area, arranged cabaret-style, with tiny bistro tables and low-lying sofas facing a modest stage. In addition to cleverly named house cocktails such as the Freudian Sip and Oral Fixation, there's also bar food, like Thai wings, chicken and steak skewers, and burgers. At least that's one appetite you can count on satisfying here—when it comes to the hordes of hot boys, you're on your own.
