Located at the center of Yorkville's nightlife strip, Tin Lizzie is packed most nights with post-collegiate partiers who throw back shots like they're still Phi Psi pledges. While the dark-wood accents and Pottery Barn knockoffs appeal to those who couldn't get enough of them during the day in their paralegal cubicles, the space is unusually large for the Upper East Side, with a long dark-wood bar above which televisions always favor sports broadcasts. In a raised booth, a DJ spins an eclectic mix that leans more toward pseudo-ironic 80s ballads than hardcore rap, and on weekends the dance floor becomes a crush of sweaty young bankers in white baseball hats and PR assistants in sweater sets. There aren't any novelty cocktails of note, but the bar is well stocked with a vast array of liquor and a good selection of beers. Compared to similar scenes further downtown or on the west side, Tin Lizzie is a bit of a bargain, with no cover and drinks hovering around $5 and below.
