There are no spiders at this cozy neighborhood wine bar. There is, however, booze: approachable, affordable, and primarily European wines by the glass like a light, berry-studded Blauer Zweigelt or a fruity Malbec are cast in the starring roles, but don’t rule out classic cocktails like a perfectly refreshing Negroni. Also on hand are curds and weigh in the form of cheese, ranging from firm and tangy to gooey to the point of crawling out of the case. But the South Williamsburg white-washed bar’s bill of fare goes beyond Miss Muffet’s, with a smattering of pates and meats to keep your cheese company. The back, dark-wooded study can be rented out for private occasions or is a suitable temporary office for the many freelancers in the 'hood.
