At this high-tech Gramercy sports bar, watch the big game and the little games—they can all be broadcast ten inches from your face on 5” beer-tap-mounted TVs. Naturally, one of the devices was stolen early on, no doubt lending more sports-fan cred to this latest enterprise from the proprietors of rowdy Upper East Side institutions Joshua Tree and Mercury Bar. Patrons can also monitor games on 22 wall-mounted plasmas and via wireless speakers at the tables. It’s coverage good enough for that dingus at Shea Field who bangs the cowbell—he’s here every Thursday away-game. The surprisingly frou-frou grub impresses with fig and goat cheese bruschetta and a wide selection of burger toppings. (Care for a guacamole/fried egg/chili burger?)
