The brick walls, dark-wood support beams, and smell of fresh fish give Ulysses’s Folk House the feeling of an old pub by the sea. Meals are hearty, with plenty of seafood specials and a daily meat carvery for lunch. Every week the bar features Craft Beer Tuesdays where patrons are able to meet the brewers and sample beers from around the world. The owners, both Irish and Greek, incorporate both cultures into every aspect of the bar; the walls are adorned with images from the Odyssey, while the inside of the matchbooks quote James Joyce.
Best of New York: Fun & Nightlife
Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
