Lionel Hampton reportedly once called this reasonably priced jazz joint "sweet honey for the ears." Sure enough, smooth, smoky grooves blend with the sounds of clinking amber cocktails and the chatter of Brooklynites keeping it real. Over the years, Up Over has hosted major headliners as well as up-and-coming players from the 718 and beyond. Monday night jams feature the deep beats of the Vincent Herring Quartet; there's no telling who might show up to join them. Hot wings, catfish po' boys and other rib-sticking Dixie standards keep your mouth as engaged as your ears.
