This sleek-looking club—named for the Roman goddess of the hearth—is largely free of door hassle. Upstairs, the décor is light and sparse: White veils fall from the ceiling, and flat-screens and mirrors punctuate the wall space. The ground floor is a different feel, with heavier black leather booths, disco balls, and a shadowy VIP area lurking at the back. The downstairs, with a huge dance floor flush against the bar, is engineered for shimmying: there’s very little furniture—low-lying sofas, ottomans, and few barstools—and D.J.'s spin heavy electronica over a booming system. The crowd is Murray Hill West, a bit grown up, and peppered with proud New Jerseyans. One last note: Vesta goes out of its way to cater to groups (complimentary cake and Champagne if your party is large enough), meaning rambunctious groups of MSG-zone corporate types shedding their office etiquette is a common sight.
