For many Park Slopers, watching sports means cheering on the kids at a whiffle ball game. But for those who prefer to spectate with a margarita made from a mix, there’s Voodoo. This narrow, elegant bar—with its gleaming pressed-tin ceiling, and black-and-white photos of Ebbetts Field—opened just as the World Cup reached a fever pitch in June 2006. Crowds have since tapered so it’s easy to grab a seat at the lacquered black bar, order one of six draft beers, and claim a personal bowl of pretzels that’ll be refilled by the time the Yankees game segues into a soccer match or a Knicks game into a boxing match on the seven plasmas overhead. For those seeking a break from the games, there's a small back nook and a MP3 jukebox stocked with everything from “Centerfold” to “Centerfield.”

Cocktails at the movies, a Monday-night bacchanal, and a great rookie-rap show.
