Profile

Only at the Waterfront can you enjoy a glass of port while fetching free popcorn for your table from a self-serve popper. The doctors, nurses, and doctors-to-be from Bellevue and the NYU Medical Center prescribe the bar's sublime combination of the haute and the down-home—the menu ranges from a plate of grilled vegetables to a smoked-pork sandwich better known as "the pulled pig." Inoculate yourself with shots of the house spirit, Grandma's Apple Pie vodka, which steeps for at least three weeks before appearing in a glass jar behind the bar, apple rings and all.

This place looks like a dump, but it is surprisingly gourment. The spiced popcorn, the AMAZING food (try the Ostrich burger!) and fun, extensive beer list - you can't go wrong...give it a chance, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

You gotta love a place that makes it's own jerky and sausage for purchase as bar snacks (as well as free popcorn). A great, ever changing beer selection featuring both imports and microbrews alike - alot of times including my favorite microbrewery, Dogfishhead of Rehoboth, Delaware. Whats not to like? They also have a full service kitchen that trys it's hand at being creative but doesn't always pull it off: jalapeno pretzel crusted chicken breast with honey BBQ sauce. Ummm, no thanks, I have popcorn...
