With three floors and $5 cocktails, the happy hour lasts all night in this after work, suit-friendly sports lounge. Wooden accents, earthy wallpaper, and a stone fireplace make the Whiskey Trader a modern update on the midtown tavern. There are a few nods to decorum: wall sconces, thick candle chandeliers, tapers at each table. But the focus is on the more rambunctious amenities: five plasma-screen TVs, foosball, arcade games, and a mingling singles crowd. Girl-tini cocktails are cheap, presumably an attempt to close up the roughly four-to-one guy-to-girl ratio. Upstairs is a cozier, dimly lit lounge space, good for a late-night rendezvous or some intimate girl talk. Also: free popcorn! — Yelena Shuster
