Punch restaurant now takes its business to another level. Well, the second floor. Like a Flatiron tribute to the palazzi of Italy, Wined Up floods a high-ceilinged space with sunlight and keeps the mood mellow with soft rock courtesy of Sara McLachlan and her ilk. Across the white marble bar is a wall decorated by an iron trellis and grapevine sculpture, but the real reason you’re here is more eye-catching: the wall of wine, where 150 vintages (30 available by the glass) are on display. Wine director Mina Belhaj-Rouas’s list focuses on small vineyards around the globe, but there’s also beer and grappa if you’re looking for something heartier. Small plates from Punch chef Matthew Shoemaker stick to nibbles like cheese/meat platters, edamame, and pizzetta.
