Profile

This venue is closed.

Open since January 2006, this medical spa specializes in laser hair removal and other non-invasive cosmetic dermatology procedures. The spa setting is underwhelming—the front waiting room looks like a not-particularly-tidy living room, with couches in bad need of replacement—but most clients don’t seem to mind; they don’t come here for lounging, they come for results. The spa is owned by Dr. Roger Keys, a vascular surgeon with a private practice in New Jersey, who oversees all treatments and equipment. He insists on two things: client education and having the most up-to-date equipment available. To that end, Silk Skin uses the Apogee Elite laser by Cynosure, the only laser on the market that can treat both dark and light skin. As regards education, the licensed estheticians on staff walk each client through the entire treatment process, step-by-step, so you know what to expect and how to protect your skin when you leave. The center is so concerned that clients are happy with their end results that they include three free touch-up treatments with all laser hair removal packages. Additional services include Botox, glycolic peels, laser facial therapy, laser vein removal, mesotherapy, and microdermabrasion. Colorescience cosmetics and Refinity skincare products are available for purchase.

Extra

Silk Skin Laser offers free anti-aging seminars to educate potential clients on laser hair removal and other non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Call the center for dates and times.
