Cuts, color and style all come with a uniquely “green” touch in this bright, airy salon, which aims to provide top quality salon services and minimize the effects of same on the environment. Bamboo floors, energy-saving light bulbs, dual-flush toilets, Fair Trade coffee, recycled paper, and a selection of organic products all add to the eco-friendly motif. The long, somewhat narrow space feels fresh and welcoming, with exposed brick walls, earth-toned décor, and sliding glass doors that open onto a rear patio. Owner Jim Gaylord has designed haircuts and styles for several Broadway shows and leading lights, like thespians Alec Baldwin, Victor Garber, and Blythe Danner. His team of experts offers precision cuts, color, and special-occasion styles, with facials and waxing services also available, thanks to an on-staff esthetician.  Goldwell Color, MOP, and Decleor skincare products are in use and available for sale.
