Patricia Winter’s basic cut-and-color salon has been a Soho fixture since 1986. A native of Queens, Winter has earned a loyal clientele over the years, including a crew of longtime regulars that gathers in the 450-square-foot space on Friday nights. Winter specializes in color services, particularly foil highlights, and she employs three stylists who wash, cut, color, and style each client themselves, start to finish. Repeat customers return for the intimate, down-to-earth experience and affordable services—cuts are $50, and single-process color starts at $65. The salon uses Anonymous’ own line of gentle hair products, which are also for sale on shelves up front.
