Profile
Malynda Vigliotti wants everyone to have thick, elegant brows and offers just that for $20. The F.I.T. alum and former modeling agent quit the biz to indulge her obsession with natural-looking brows—evident by her own, practically perfect set. Good thing she did: Vigliotti can conjure striking arches out of the bushiest of hedges or plump wimpy, sparse strands into something more substantially sexy. Eyebrows are tinted, waxed, plucked, filled, and gelled as necessary to glorious effect. Lavender-based “flash” wax goes on warm, not scalding, reducing risks of burns and splotches. Fuzz is blitzed startlingly fast, minimizing discomfort. The bustling jewel box space is centered around four bar stool stations with a small back room for more intimate wax jobs. The décor will not be for everyone—girly magentas, purples, and zebra prints abound—and there is some serious corn on the menu (you’re invited to “fly the friendly thighs” with a landing strip bikini shape). But there is genius here, too: If you want your lashes tinted for fanned-out fullness, ask for the Tammy Faye.
