An iffy trio of halogen lights, a radio soundtrack, and beige and green furniture give Coco’s a bit of a dentist-office vibe, but that doesn’t stop the locals from flooding in for nail services—silk wraps, paraffin tips, extensions, and permanent French manicures—as well as waxings, ten-minute massages, and eyebrow/eyelash dye jobs. Wait time is usually minimal even with the lunchtime and after-work crowds; credit the no-nonsense staff which forgoes chattiness for focused cuticle-trimming, nail-painting, and exfoliating calf-and-foot massages. Patrons can expect to strut their freshly polished hands and feet outside in no time flat, unless they’re indulging in an hour-long pedicure.
