Profile

Exuding cool femininity with their white and gold decorating schemes, classical accents, ethereal music, and all-female staff, Completely Bare's three city locations are havens for women, men, and a large number of celebrities who want to bare all, and then some. The original Madison Avenue location was founded in 1998 by former IBM techie Cindy Barshop who, after combating her own "bikini problem," sought to develop a more compassionate form of hair removal. The result—and the spa's core service—is a state-of-the-art, non-invasive, FDA-approved laser treatment that removes body and facial hair quickly and painlessly. French waxing, another CB specialty, uses a calming lavender-based wax. Clients can one-up fellow nudies by accessorizing their freshly bared parts with a Swarovski crystal design or an airbrushed tattoo. The spa offers a full menu of customized "corrective" facials, including microdermabrasion, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatments, and Techno-facelifts. All locations boast special lasers for tanned skin, Epifacials and cosmetic dermatology. Eminence, SkinCeuticals, and Completely Bare's own line of products—including Bikini Bump Blaster pads for ingrown hairs, Completely Buff exfoliator powder, and Completely Clean facial wash—are used throughout the services and sold in-house.

Bridal Packages

This popular spa specializes in hair removal, so it's the perfect spot to get a Brazilian before a beach honeymoon. Sign up for microdermabrasion to give your skin a boost before the wedding.

If you are new to waxing, this is not the place for you. I tried their "relax" wax, which supposedly, according to a news story I heard, numbs the top surface of your skin. Not true! It's simply an attempt...Read More
