Elisa and Clemens Chin’s Tribeca studio abides by a decidedly democratic pay-what-you-wish policy ($10 is suggested). Natural light floods the expansive main studio, which aims to be completely ecofriendly with recycled wood and bamboo floors, VOC-less painted walls, compact fluorescent lightbulbs, and a free UV-filtered water station. The Restorative Yoga class focuses on relaxation while the Pilates Mat uses resistance bands for a body-toning workout. Special workshops (at extra cost) are sprinkled throughout the monthly schedule. Other offerings include advanced yoga and a prenatal yoga class that focuses on breathing techniques, mental relaxation, and strengthening the hips and lower back.Childcare
For $10, child care is available for kids over 3.
The pay-what-you-wish policy only applies if you show up just before the class. Advance registration (thus guaranteeing a space in the class) requires a $10 online donation. So if you’re looking to save some money, make sure to show up plenty early; morning and after-work classes fill up fast.
With the pay-what-you-wish policy, this studio really is affordable for all.
Unlike some of the bigger studios with extensive offerings, Do Yoga only offers three types of yoga practices regularly.
