After 30 years of working for salons like Frederic Fekkai and John Barrett, Romania-native Eliza Petrescu went out on her own in 2010. Well-heeled Park Avenue women quickly come in and out of the purple-toned, jewel-box-like space for that famed arch Petrescu creates in about seven minutes time. While sitting in her chair that overlooks a shelf full of framed pictures of clients (Oprah and Linda Wells, to name a few), Petrescu starts by waxing any fuzz surrounding the brow before shaping with tweezers. Final grooming consists of filling in with pencil and setting with gel, both from her own line and available for purchase. And while Petrescu’s work doesn’t come cheap ($128), clients can book an appointment with one of her two associates (one of which is her son) for a still pricey, albeit lower, cost ($88).
Bridal Parties
The salon can accommodate groups of up to five for a bride and her bridal party.
Appointments
For those who wish to see the master herself, clients should book at least 30 days in advance.
