New York, NY 10002

Located on an otherwise beauty-starved stretch of bodegas and graffitied buildings, this small space asks its clients to fill out an extensive health questionnaire before submitting to treatments given by its largely ESOL staff. The Zen-like interior aims to soothe: potted bamboo plants, rattan chairs, a fresh pot of rose tea, and polished river stones adorn the reception area; a glass panel, etched with Chinese imagery, suffices as art for the four tiny massage rooms, small nail station, steam room, shower, and sauna. The spa’s diminutive size contrasts with its lengthy menu and some featured treatments are quite a surprise: makeup tattooing and eyelash extensions. Facials run the gamut from popular Yon-Ka cleansings to a bio-computerized treatment that claims to attack wrinkles and boost collagen via high-tech massaging from a machine. Everything utilitizes the in-house products or a lesser-known Parisian line called Sothy’s.
SalesPurchasing a $1000 spa membership package ensures a 20% discount on all future treatments; a $500 package knocks 10% off the price.
