Owner Dina Herdigein never intended to branch into the spa business when she opened her retail beauty outlet in 2006, but shoppers who came to Flawless seeking skin-care brands not available elsewhere in Park Slope (Mario Badescu, Decléor, Juara, Pangea Organics, and Temple Spa, to name a few) urged her to provide treatments that feature the products she sells. Herdigein eventually transformed a small section in the back of her shabby-chic shop into a semi-private treatment area, hiring two experienced estheticians to administer results-oriented facials for the face, back, and décolletage. The treatments all utilize acupressure and most use Decléor’s Aromessence line of products; you can also add on extras like alpha-hydroxy peels, regenerating eye treatments, and eyebrow shaping. While shy types should keep in mind that private rooms aren’t yet available, plans are underway to expend the facility into a more traditional spa setting.
