Molly Greene’s mod, whitewashed space features three plush pedi chairs and four manicure stations, with a private, curtained-off area in back for waxing and massage. Decorated with retro-inspired illustrations and buzzing with eighties tunes, the nail salon has evolved into the East Village’s go-to spot for basic mani-pedis, as well as more hands-on treatments—like the salon’s fragrant brown-sugar scrub. In 2005, Greene launched an in-house bath and body line called East Four; her multipurpose Miracle Oil, an essential-oil blend for cuticles, lips, or hair, is part of every on-site manicure. Stocking a full line of Essie and Golden Girl nail enamel, the salon also occasionally fields requests for acrylic work and gladly accommodates exotic nail-art trends. Black-tipped French manicures, anyone?
