With twelve locations in three boroughs, this national chain offers sunless tanning options citywide. The zero-ambience storefronts are best known for their proprietary stand-up HT booths, which filter more than 90 percent of UVB rays. (Most local shops house about fifteen of the signature booths.) The company’s fastest, priciest machine, the HT60 Ultimate 8-Minute Tan, promises an evenly bronzed bod in three to four sessions while lower-intensity booths can take five or six rounds to achieve a base color. The salons also have UV-free 6-Second Spray Tans for which self-tanner, bronzer, and moisturizer are applied in a vigorous, six-second burst.
