Ink48 Hotel,

You wouldn’t expect to find a luxe spa tucked away on the second floor of a hotel on the westernmost edge of midtown, among the megaclubs and car dealerships. But InkSpa—the massage-and-facials outfit of the Ink48 hotel—exceeds one’s expectations. Decorated in cool metallics and warm browns, the waiting area is bigger than most hotel rooms; sip a glass of orange-infused water, then move into the changing room to put on a cozy robe and slippers. The three private treatment rooms (one for facials, one for massages, and one for couples) are spacious, elegantly decked out with zebrawood-fronted cabinets and glass tile backsplashes. In keeping with the hotel’s printing-press theme, the service menu boasts punning titles—massages have names like Emboss, Imprint, and Flourish—but the treatments aren’t joking around: hot-stone massages, chamomile scrubs, spirulina detox wraps, and custom-designed facials built around proprietary and aromatic Kerstin Florian products leave skin glowing.
