Kim Laudati's studio is not glamorous—she shares her space with a chiropractor and a nutritionist. But in one of the medical suite's rooms, magic is dispensed in 60-to-90-minute increments of soothing skin treatments. After three years of testing on friends and family, Atelier Esthetique–trained Laudati hit upon a winning combo she calls "Le Magnifique facial." It includes radio frequency, ultrasonic, and micro current procedures that generate major improvements in skin tone and suppleness. Skin looks brighter, firmer, and smoother right away, and for some, the healthy glow can last a week. Acne isn't zapped but it is decidedly calmed; pores seem refined; and for older clients, there is a significant uplift in saggy skin. The key is the collagen- and elastin-regenerating properties of the facial. For youthful faces, Laudati recommends coming in once a month for three months. After that, she says, collagen begins to regenerate at a higher rate on its own and visits can be spaced out further. For those with more creases and wrinkles, a six-week “boot camp” may be necessary to minimize lines. There are other treatments that incorporate some of Le Magnifique's elements, which you can order à la carte, but the full package delivers the most punch.
