This Russian-born, Paris-based company offers luxurious, sweet-smelling candles, perfumes, and soaps at its first East Coast location, found within the Plaza Hotel. Founded in the early 1900s, Krigler launched a new skin-care line in early 2009 that touts moisturizer, body lotion, body scrub, cleansing milk, massage oil, and shower gel. The tiny, booth-like space has clear glass walls and glitzy displays dusted with crystals, a nod to the brand’s collaboration with Swarovski for its Sparkling Diamond No. 22 fragrance and candle. The handmade candles here burn for 45 hours, emitting fragrances like jasmine, peach, rose, fir, and Champagne, inspired by various far-flung travel destinations. But even with hundreds of scented products lining the shelves of this mini-boutique, the aroma isn’t overpowering.
