Formerly the Greenhouse Spa, this three-story space was relaunched as the Lather product line’s first Stateside spa in 2006. Though redesigned, the general layout remains the same: Clients check in at a street-level reception desk, then are escorted through the retail section to a subterranean changing area, where attendants exchange your duds for cozy robes and brightly colored Croc rubber clogs. Next up: the waiting lounge, an all-white affair outfitted with modular furniture, a skylight, and a vertical “living wall” garden with over 200 square feet of plants and flowers. Nail clients then settle in to one of eight individual, TV-equipped mani-pedi stations—reminiscent of private-jet cabins—nestled into a ground-floor nook. Although the nail offerings are solid, upstairs in the fifteen treatment rooms Lather’s influence is more keenly felt. Facials, massages, and body treatments are performed with an extensive line known for incorporating unusual fruits, herbs, and plants from around the world. Signature treatments are built around best-sellers like Bamboo Indulgence, a full-body exfoliation using the Bamboo Lemongrass Foaming scrub. Facials, particularly the fully customized signature option, really shine, and aromatherapy massages can be personalized with scents from a custom blending bar. Waxing, microdermabraison, and men’s treatments round out the menu.OZOCar
