Located on a bustling strip of Atlantic Avenue, the 2,200-square-foot Lifestyles Salon & Spa had long been an affordable, neighborhood mainstay. But in spring 2006, Brooklyn natives Anna Bizzarro and her partner, Dawn Raso, took over the space then added tanning services, makeup applications, and eyelash extensions to the already-sturdy menu. The cozy layout’s unchanged: Stylist Bizzarro presides over the six hair stations up front; Raso oversees skin care, waxing, and mani-pedis in the three private back rooms. Laser-hair-removal expert Allison Tray’s mini-spa Tres Belle is housed inside Lifestyles, and the spa sells hair-care products by lines like MD Skincare and Redken, as well as their facialist’s own in-house concoctions. Come Saturday mornings, Brooklyn Heights customers flock here for weekend pampering parties—mimosas included. — Carolyn Murnick
