Offering the standard menu of cuts, colors, blowouts and updos, this hair salon relates an easygoing island vibe thanks to Trinidad-born owner-stylist Maureen McLeod. Beyond a large Buddha statue welcoming all customers to the bright, airy space, a team of about a dozen senior stylists bring their notable skills to the likes of Liv Tyler and Marcia Gay Harden; color corrections and protein masks are performed for It Girls on a regular basis, too. Styling classes, makeup tutorials, and general girl time take place in the lofty mezzanine where Maureen has also been known to participate in benefits for African and children’s charities, during which clients can beautify while giving back.
