Opened in the spring of 2006, Nadine’s is powered by former Bumble and bumble stylist Nadine Jannuzzi and sister-cum-business partner Carmela. Together this Little Italy–born duo brings healthy hair to a neighborhood that previously had felt like a beauty wasteland. Like its neighbor and landlord Salon 25, their six-seat boutique has a fresh look: rock and tile walls complemented by marble floors—all of it designed by their muralist brother, James. Although each member of the seasoned staff (which includes hair artist and Vidal Sassoon prodigy Raza Sharp) offers his own specialty—Japanese straightening, African-American weaves, etc.—the salon’s namesake prides herself most on her ability to resuscitate tired tresses through conditioning glossifiers and deep masks that incorporate products by L’Oreal Paris and Matrix Biolage.Specials
